Exness Review for South African Traders
An Exness review that separates what is verifiable from what most reviews simply repeat.

- Verified: Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd holds FSCA licence FSP 51024, status Authorised.
- Verified: Exness's own pages list a $10 Standard account minimum and a $200 Pro minimum.
- Not verified here: spreads, leverage and withdrawal times - so this review does not quote them as facts.
- The FSP holder and the entity named in the South African site footer are different companies in different jurisdictions.
- Your client agreement, not the advertised licence, tells you which Exness entity holds your account.
What we verified, and how
This review is deliberately narrow. Every factual claim below was checked against a primary source rather than another review site: the FSCA's own register for licensing, and Exness's own account pages for deposit minimums. Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd holds FSP 51024 with a status of Authorised. Exness (SC) Ltd is an FSCA-approved OTC Derivative Provider. Exness's Standard account page lists a $10 minimum deposit, and its Pro account page lists $200. Those are the claims we are willing to put our name to, and every one of them is checkable in a browser in a few minutes.
What we did not verify, and why we are not repeating it
Most Exness reviews lead with spreads from zero, leverage figures and withdrawal times measured in seconds. We have not independently verified any of those, so they do not appear here as facts. That is not an accusation that they are false - it is an admission that we did not test them. A review that quotes precise numbers it never checked is not a review, it is a rewritten marketing page. If those figures matter to your decision, test them on a small live account and judge from your own fills rather than from anyone's summary.
The thing most Exness reviews leave out
The FSCA licence and the company you actually contract with are not necessarily the same entity. Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd holds FSP 51024, while the legal footer on Exness's South African pages names Exness (SC) Ltd, registered in the Seychelles under SD025. Those are different legal persons with different recourse, and which one your account sits with is determined by the client agreement you accept at signup, not by the licence in the marketing. We did not test the signup routing and will not assert it either way. Reading the counterparty name on your own agreement is the single most useful five minutes in this review.
Regulatory Notice β South Africa
Regulator: Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA)
Exness and XM both operate in South Africa through FSCA-licensed local entities.
Before funding an account, search the broker's exact registered entity name on the FSCA's public register rather than trusting a badge on their website.
Exness in South Africa - FSCA FSP 51024
Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd holds FSP number 51024, listed as Authorised on the FSCA register when this page's facts were last checked on 26 August 2026.
Exness (SC) Ltd - Seychelles, FSA licence SD025 - is the company named in the legal footer of exness.com/za.
Exness (SC) Ltd is also an FSCA-approved OTC Derivative Provider. A second local company, Exness Markets ZA (Pty) Ltd, has applied for ODP approval but is not yet approved.
The licensed local company and the company named in the broker's own legal footer are different legal persons, with different recourse if something goes wrong. Which of them your account is actually opened with depends on your signup, so check the entity named in your own client agreement before depositing - and confirm any number above yourself on the FSCA public register (Regulated Entities, then Financial Service Providers, then search by FSP number).

Frequently Asked Questions About Exness
Is Exness a good broker for South Africans?
That depends on what you are optimising for, and a single verdict would not be an honest answer. What we can tell you is that the local licence is genuine and verifiable, the account minimum is low at the Standard end, and the entity named in the South African site footer is offshore rather than the licensed local company. Weigh those against your own priorities.
Is Exness a scam?
Nothing in what we checked supports that description. Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd is Authorised on the FSCA register under FSP 51024, which a scam operation does not typically obtain or keep. That is not the same as saying trading with Exness is low risk - leveraged CFD trading carries a high risk of loss regardless of the broker.
Why does this review not list Exness spreads?
Because we did not verify them. Spreads move, they differ by account type and instrument, and we have not measured them ourselves. Quoting a number lifted from a marketing page would make this review look more complete and be less trustworthy.
How can I check the Exness licence myself?
Go to fsca.co.za, open the Financial Services Provider search and enter FSP number 51024. You should see Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd with its current status. It takes a couple of minutes, and it is the only way to know the licence is current rather than current as of whenever a review was written.
